Integrated Forest Conservation, Reforestation, Agroforestry, & Carbon Sequestration Initiatives

The Integrated Forest Conservation, Reforestation, Agroforestry, and Carbon Sequestration Project (IFCRACS) is a global Partnership Project for a combined technological and community solution aimed at supporting the indigenous communities in the around the world to effectively addressing deforestation and its negative impact on communities and the environment.
IFCRACS is an innovative environmental restoration intervention using cutting-edge microbial technology which involves both below and above-ground treatment of land to promote biodiversity and preserve natural resources. It uses a holistic restoration process in regenerating and replanting depleted, damaged or destroyed forest areas and farmlands. IFRACS incorporates advanced scientific techniques with sustainable indigenous science and practices to breathe new life into precious ecosystems.
IFCRACS has been developed by TriPoint and is intended for implementation in parts of the world with select indigenous peoples/cultural communities as in-country partners. It will be undertaken in collaboration with the various stakeholders and support groups such as the NGAs, LGUs, CSOs, business, scientific organizations, and educational institutions. The project period will be for 10 to 50 years depending on the desire of the partner communities.

Projected Outcomes:
-
Halt and reverse deforestation and establish a diverse and resilient forest ecosystem through forest conservation, reforestation and sustainable agroforestry practices.
-
Bring about near and long term socio-economic benefits to the indigenous cultural communities by creating income-generating opportunities.
-
Sequester carbon emissions and contribute to climate change mitigation efforts.
-
Promote biodiversity conservation and sustainable land management practices.
-
Enhance forest protection and biodiversity conservation policies.
