John Hedlund
Managing Director
 

John is Managing Director and Founder of TriPointAG Holding B.V. As a C-Level Executive with both multi-national and early stage companies, he has over 25 years of leadership experience in domestic and international business, including

Germany, Belgium, Holland, Spain, Russia, Singapore, Philippines, India and Taiwan. John has led cross-functional teams in various industries, including: bioinformatics, industrial engineering, healthcare, manufacturing, finance and agriculture

organizations.
 

John holds a B.A. Degree from the University of Southern California, Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management and a Certified Advanced Project Management "SCPM" from Stanford School of Professional Development.

John was an NCAA National Champion and First Team All-American Volleyball Player at USC and played professionally in Italy and Germany. He now coaches youth sports in volleyball, softball and soccer. He also holds a Black Belt in Kenpo Karate.

Richard Davison

Global Finance Director

Richard directs TriPoint's financial operations worldwide and a member of the TriPointAG Holding B.V. Statutory Board and Advisory Board. Richard oversees the development and management of financial systems globally for TriPoint.


Richard is a chartered accountant with vast international CFO experience and demonstrated history of working in service and manufacturing industries, with roughly $1B turnover. He has managed financial operations across several regions, including Europe, Asia, Australasia and the Americas. Richard is experienced in negotiations, business planning, management, international taxation, start-ups and account

management.

 

Before joining TriPointAG Holding B.V., he was CFO for The Cobra Group, plc (UK and Hong Kong) from 1999-2017 as well as partner at Duncan & Toplis, Chartered Accountants. Richard holds a BSc (Hons) in Statistics from

the University College, London.

 

Dr. Elaine Ingham

Senior Director, Science and Innovation
 

Dr. Elaine Ingham is Head of Science, and a member of the Executive Team and Advisory Board. She is responsible for the company’s technology roadmap as well as field implementations. Behind her leadership is a wealth of knowledge gained from years of research into the organisms which make up the soil food web.
 

She has developed three new methods of rapidly assessing soil and foliage-related organisms and assessing how soil and foliar biology changes with different management practices. She has focused on grower-related issues, the expense of intensive chemical use, and the damage chemicals inflict on beneficial organisms in the soil and on foliage.

From 2011 to 2014, Dr. Ingham was the Chief Scientist for the Rodale Institute in Pennsylvania, and applied her knowledge to improve dairy, pasture, orchard, row crops, vegetable and hydroponics production focused on small scale growers. In

the year 2000, Elaine opened a lab at Southern Cross University in Lismore, New South Wales, Australia, allowing grower’s overnight access to the assays they need to improve plant production without the use of high levels of inorganic

chemicals.
 

Dr. Ingham founded Soil Foodweb Inc. in 1996, a company that grew out of her research program at Oregon State University, which is dedicated to educating the general public about the benefits of the soil food web, as well as continuing to allow Dr, Ingham to work as a consultant with growers around the world. From the late-1980’s to the early

2000’s, Elaine was a Faculty Member in Forest Science and Botany and Plant Pathology at Oregon State University. 

 

Dr. Ingham started her academic career at St. Olaf College with a B.A. in Biology and Chemistry, cum laude, in 1974.  She earned an M.S. in Microbiology at Texas A & M University in 1977, and her Doctorate in Microbiology, (with an emphasis

in soil,) from Colorado State University in 1981 during which time she helped develop the theoretical basis behind the benefits of the soil food web. Elaine accepted a Post-doctoral Fellowship from the Natural Resource Ecology Lab at Colorado State University that lead to a series of discoveries about how natural soil communities and their interactions benefit plant growth.

Rod Hiemstra

Senior Director, Applied Science and Operations

Rod is Sr. Director of Applied Science and Operations, and a member of the TriPointAg Executive Team and Advisory Board.

 

Rod is responsible for the company’s soil science technology roadmap as well as field implementation. This includes overseeing production, implementation protocols, and directing field “biological” operations. Rod works in close coordination with the Senior Director of Science and Research in establishing TriPointAg’s soil science operations worldwide.

 

Rod’s expertise includes eight years hands-on experience in soil regeneration technology which includes application to cropland settings, as well as serving as a soil health consultant to growers. In addition, Rod has over 25 years’ experience in the field of environmental health, specializing in hazard waste management, public water systems, industrial hygiene, air pollution and consumer food protection. During 15 years of his career, Rod held concurrent positions as an Environmental Engineer and Program Manager at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center.

 

Having owned and operated several successful businesses in the USA and

Conducted business in Southeast Asia, Rod brings a wealth of entrepreneurial experience.

 

Rod holds an MS in Human Resource Management with an emphasis in organization development from Golden Gate University, a BS in Marine Biology from California State University, Long Beach and has completed additional graduate courses in Environmental Health at California State University, Northridge.

Vicente Cue

Senior Director, Global Strategy & Business Development
 

Vicente works on expanding worldwide business opportunities, which includes working with local teams in developing education programs, government relations and customer service. Vicente is a seasoned business development executive with solid financial and proven international experience. His experience ranges from smaller

start-up ventures to Fortune 500 companies.
 

For over 20 years, Vicente assisted US based corporations with international expansion efforts - identifying opportunities and establishing strategic contacts at the governmental and corporate level. He has successfully led Sales, Operations, Finance and IT teams in renewable energy, private equity, investment banking, biotechnology and digital media sectors.


Vicente provides diversified international strategic expertise with multi-national corporations (Monsanto, Citigroup) as wells as successful start-up experience (CFO at PriceGrabber, COO Westmoore International and others). At Banamex

(Citigroup Mexico), he led the first US ExIm-guaranteed structured trade transaction for a Mexican financial institution (Banamex became US Eximbank top non-domestic partner). Vincente also served as Corporate Banking Vice President

of Banamex USA - managing the bank’s portfolio of international corporate clients.

Vicente holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and BS in Microeconomics from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.

Noel Matthews

Senior Director, Business Operations APAC and EMEA

 

Noel is responsible for leading and managing TriPointAg’s APAC and EMEA business operations, as well as securing its Knowledge Management systems and processes.

 

Noel brings his entrepreneurial background and a wealth of management experience establishing international commercial and industrial operations. He has successfully managed major multi-million dollar projects in several countries, including: Thailand, Sweden, Italy, Belgium, Taiwan, Middle East, the U.K. and Ireland.

 

Noel has served in leadership positions such as Managing Director, CEO and Project Director and enjoys the challenge and opportunities of driving companies’ P/L, managing cross-cultural internal and external teams and their integration. This includes technical overview of design and implementation of manufacturing projects, environmental health and safety, business development, and establishing strong client relations.

 

He is owner of a consulting firm providing Project Management services, Cloud Based collaboration and digitization and Document Management systems to the Construction and Facility Management industries.

 

Previously an avid squash player and snow skier, he now enjoys walks, runs and hits the gym regularly.

Javier Gonzalez

Senior Director, Business Operations The Americas

 

Javier is leading and managing TriPointAg’s business operations in The Americas. 

 

Having held leadership roles in Strategic Sourcing, Logistics and Finance, for over 25 years Javier has managed operations internationally in various industries including fresh food, manufacturing, printing and electronics. Javier acquired valuable experience in fresh food and vegetable sourcing and operations, and his work in this area has led him to gain expertise in the overall agricultural process in the Americas, Africa, and Europe.

 

Javier’s accomplishments include, running multiple functions, complex projects, resolving critical issues, managing international governance matters, and implementing methodologies that improve productivity and enhanced quality while significantly reducing supply chain and total operational cost.

Javier is a great communicator and collaborator driving people and performance, as well as establishing strong customer relationships and forging strategic business alliances. He has a strong understanding and keen ability to link multi-cultural and regional teams located around the world, creating an environment of purpose.

Javier was born and raised in Costa Rica, and is an Industrial Engineer with a Master’s degree in Business.

Roger Ruiz

Senior Director, Global Growth and Commercial Projects

Roger will be leading TriPoint’s global growth and commercial project initiatives in collaboration and alignment with our Global Strategy and Business Development plans and programs.

Having held Executive Management positions throughout his 35 years career in the Agro-industry, Roger brings a wealth of experience in the agriculture and agro-industrial environments in both management and operation capacities.

Positions held include General Manager of Variedades de Trópico Húmedo S.A. and General Manager of Agro-Commercial EARTH University covering its operations in Guácimo, Limón and Liberia Guanacaste in Costa Rica. Here he was responsible for agricultural and agro-industrial operations in banana, sugarcane, rice, mango, fattening cattle and forestry.  His leadership and entrepreneurial vision brought these companies out of bankruptcy two years after his arrival. Upon his departure these companies generated net profits of more than 2 million dollars.

Roger is a founding Partner of the Institute of Human Development in Costa Rica and member of the Advisory Council of the Santa Paula University.

Between 1995 and 2010 Roger was a member of the International Faculty of EARTH University, Costa Rica; in Leadership, Strategic Management and Teamwork issues. Since 2002 he has been a Visiting Professor at the Institute of Business Studies, Costa Rica. Additionally, since 2000 he has been an International Business Consultant on issues of business competitiveness, finance, business strategy and Human Development.

 

Roger holds a degree in Business Administration-Management from the University of Costa Rica. Post Graduate Degree in Finance from the University of Notre Dame, IN (USA). Additionally, Roger has participated in extensive managerial training at international universities such as Wisconsin, Berkeley, INCAE, in the areas of Finance, Strategic Management, Marketing, Six Sigma, and Human Development. Additional credentials include International Speaker on Leadership, Teamwork, Quality, Business Strategy and Human Development issues.

Roger is currently Executive Director of the Sporting Foundation and directs his own company, R&R Consulting Group dedicated to the Latin American banana industry.

Dr. Manuel Madrid

Senior Director, Post-Harvest Production Technology
 

Dr. Madrid will focus on enhancing TriPoint's reserach and development of post-harvest technologies - strengthening the ability to preserve crops during post-harvest and export using natural biological treatments.

He is a post-harvest specialist with fresh fruits and vegetables – leveraging his 27 years of experience in the fresh produce value chain (variety genetics, harvest, packaging, logistics, cold chain, distribution and retail).
 

Manuel provides extensive experience in tropical crops (banana, pineapple, mango, and papaya), vegetable crops (tomato, melon, watermelon, pepper, salads) and berries (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries). He has conducted development projects in North and South Europe, North Africa (Morocco), South America (Colombia, Brazil, Chile), Central America (Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama), USA and México.


Dr. Madrid holds a DBA from Bradford University, UK, an MBA, IMD, from Lausanne, Switzerland, an MSc in Horticulture from the University of California, Davis, and an MSc in Agricultural Engineering, Polytechnical University, Valencia, Spain.

Chris Behan

Senior Director, Global Marketing and Communications
 

Chris provides over 25 years of experience with strategic marketing and brand-building for technology offerings in the agriculture, biotechnology, environmental,

health care, renewable energy and transportation sectors. He excels at translating complex value propositions to intuitive marketing messaging that differentiates brands.

As an international author on marketing, Chris’s professional experience spans branding, corporate communications, market research, demand generation, marketing program development, sales channel support and much more.

Tisha Shokat

Senior Director, Global Human Resources
 

Tisha leads TriPoint’s human resource programs. Working in collaboration with the Executive Team, she establishes employee processes and procedures, coordinate with local authorities regarding matters of employment

law, as well as co-develop employee training programs.


Tisha is a Senior Management Consultant and Human Resources Executive with over 20 years of diversified experience as a Chief Human Resources Officer and C-Suite partner. Her global experience in human resources focuses on building high performance domestic and global organizations that align with organizational culture and business strategy.
 

Her international expertise spans countries such as, Belgium, China, Dominican Republic, England, India, Italy, Mexico, Norway, Slovakia, Switzerland. Tisha’s experience in each of these regions underscores her multi-cultural acumen, scope

and breadth as a hands-on executive leader whose trademark is creating organizational alignment and ROI - driving a dynamic framework of people, performance and productivity.
